In today's lesson we have been introduced to the ancillary task which we will have to complete on the side of our music video. The ancillary task is an individual task which will consists of me creating a digipak and a album advert for my our music video.
Digipaks typically consist of a gatefold (book-style) paperboard or card stock outer binding, with one or more plastic trays capable of holding a CD or DVD attached to the inside the generic. Digipak-style packaging is often used for CD album marketing purposes. The digipak mainly features images (not only of the artist), the artist name, track list and other various informative features.
A album advert is mainly considered to have a promotional purpose, by which it drags the audiences attention and persuades them to purchase the artists album. The album adverts can be mainly seen on public transport, posters or even in magazines. The advert mainly includes the artists name, release date, track list information etc. in order to grab the audiences attention.
